And when you flip the page, the material goes back from the left to the right, (Without messing up the words that you're reading) so that you can turn the page again.
Would you consider using such an invention, or would it be too much of a hassle?
Try downloading free ereader Prestigio app on Google Play Store. It is what I'm using. There are lots of free books too. Try it and tell me your experience using it.

I don't see how the page part would work exactly, could you explain it better? For me what I like is the having the whole feel of the book not just the page turning so I would have to say no unless the page turning part could be explained in a way I HAD to have it.

Seems and feels like a great idea but this would require removing a lot of kinks and bugs. If this works, however, I would embrace it (not sure about others though).

Really don't know. Has anyone seen one with physical pages? I haven't.
Be interesting to look at before making judgement.

What a strange concept to consider. My answer is, no. It doesn't seem practically feasibly to build an e-reader with physical pages, and even if you could, the cost would be exorbitant. I read mainly at night and i like the noiselessness and quiet light that my inexpensive e-reader provides.

If they can make it smell like a real book too, I'm totally game. 8)

I agree. The cost of production would be high. Even if it could be scaled down, I don't think they could ever cost anywhere as cheap as current e-readers

I'm not sure what such a device may even look like :eusa-think: No, I probably wouldn't though.

I do my reading on my iPad and the screen does a graphic that looks like pages turning. I also like having everything on one device. I assume having a pseudo page would make the device more clunky and less convenient for carrying in a handbag. It’s also another thing that can break and I’d rather break a book than a kindle.

As another thought, I assume you would move forward through the book by flipping the single page back and forth, in which case, how would you move backwards. You’d need to have a direction setting.

My imagination doesn't seem to be working well here. How exactly would this device look?

I think this would be a good idea, but I would be really concerned for how fragile the electronic page would be! If it was made to be very sturdy, it would lose the feel and effect of a page! :)

That's an intriguing idea. I think you're correct about technology not being up to par for that...but I don't think I would personally invest in such technology. It sounds like a hassle. I'm not sure if most people prefer books because of the physical act of turning a page. I feel like it's more of an immersion concept (feel, sight, smell, etc.). But, there are probably plenty of people out there who would love such a concept.
