abolokofsky wrote:I really love the romance series, but more specifically I love to read paranormal romance novels. I have so many different series that I read and keep up with, and if I am waiting for a new book to come out soon and don't want to start a new series, I just reread a book that I have already read.
really? Do you find it equally enjoyable when you read it for the second time?

Definitely action! I like when there's romance mixed in, but when there is more depth to the story than just "guy meets girl" - I'm a fan.

Action for me! I love action-packed stories - they really keep me at the edge of my seat. As for romance, I think I've gotten used to too many cliché romance stories, resulting in a loss of interest in romance books.

I do not like action nor romance actually. I prefer mystery, thrillers and crime books. But if I have to choose I would choose romance, I'm just not into action.

Interesting question, currently working my way through the Outlander series, so I would say both action and romance. These books are great! History, time travel, and romance. I would have said romance in my teens, horror in my 20's, but have been a historical fiction junkie for many years now. The most enjoyable books I've read tend to be those where the author stopped writing in a genre based format and just gave me an epic story.

If it's about putting me on edge, Action easily. I've read enough Romance novels to see that they tend to look alike like each other too much. Though they could definitely be creative sometimes, Action just has that thing for me. I just prefer getting thrills from action than cringing from some stuff in romance.

I think it all depends on my mood and also the writing quality of the author. If the author's writing is excellent, I can really enjoy either of the two.

I love a perfect blend of the two, action with a bit of romance, so there is exciting character development, as well as, story line development.

I would definitely go for an action book with a romantic element to it.

I'm all for romance! It's a great way for a writer to really develop characters. Somehow even the most vile characters end up being worthy and deserving of love in some kind of way. It's also a fresh perspective on a writer's take on love. At least that's why I'm a sucker for a nice bit of romance in my books.
