I imagine that Amazon offers that benefit, however it's not "prepared for prime time" yet. When you purchase a Kindle book it gives you the alternative to loan it to somebody (except if the distributer confines it). It's not efficient, however. You can't look for a book to acquire.

Wow that’s amazing sounds like a great option. I was never aware that such a thing existed, but I think it’s a wonderful thing that I might try.

Sandy4th wrote: 24 Jun 2013, 22:13 My local library offers an online library service. I can check out e-books for my kindle for a 2 week period just like going to the library for a traditional book checkout. You must have a library card to use this service. It's also a consortium of several regional libraries, which increases the number of books available electronically. It's a great option, check with your local library!
This is how I read the majority of my novels. I love how the e-books are automatically returned at the end of the loan so I don't need to worry about scheduling a return trip to the library.
Comment on my review and I'll comment on yours. I'm always looking for new books to read!

It's good to know that there is a site that allows someone to borrow or lend a Kindle book.
The idea of borrowing a Kindle book sounds great. Thank you for the explanation.

That is super cool! I definitely didn’t know that. I bought a bunch of book on my iBooks app on my iPad and I always thought it was ridiculous that I couldn’t send my copy to other people to share just like I would a hardcopy book.
