I truly enjoyed Lily's character it was impactful and quite emotional. I did enjoy other characters as well but Lily stood out.

The bravery of Lily was just unbelievable. I don't I myself would have been able to do what she has done to do what she loves. She is my favourite character before William for his fatherly love.

My favorite character is Lily. A lot of people are saying that, and it’s not without reason. She was the only character that was truly consistent to herself throughout the story, besides maybe William. I think part of the reason she is such a good character is because she made the most impact instantly through her hopelessness and depression.

William is my favorite character without any doubt. Given his position in society, he knew that taking care of Lily and promoting her musical ability would be very risky for her and for his reputation. I don't think that there is a purer form of true fatherly love than this.

Young James is also my favorite character in the book. He was convinced that no one deserved a life like the slaves in the
quarters. On page 35 of 548 of the book, he questions humanity's morals. He had an uncontrollable feeling of sympathy for Lily's inhumane situation.

My favourite character was Lily's. This was because she was brave and happened to manage every difficulty she encountered.

Lily was my favorite character. Even though she faced a lot of difficulties, she never lost her positive spirit, and that's a characteristic I've always admired in people. I also liked William a lot.

My favourite character was William. He was too kind to a fault. His lack of selfishness was something to reckon with. I could not fail to mention his immense love for people especially his romantic advances towards his wife. I loved that he thought of slaves as people unlike the rest of his white mates.

My favorite is William. I also love Lily. Her musical talent is amazing. I think other people also see her as very intelligent.

William was probably my favorite - he was the most realistic character and was an excellent foil for all of the other men in Lily's life.

I would honestly say my favorite character was Lily. She has a strong nature, brave and fierce, even though she was a slave in difficult situations.

My best character is lily. I think she is very much amazing and too good to be true, but I love her greatly, her resilience, honesty and ability to hold back her pain appeals very much to me.

Lily would be the first choice that pops into my head but that is mainly because it is her story. Setting that aside, my favorite character is William. He shows the most compassion and caring of everyone and is open to people as they are, no matter what, and isn't afraid to tell it like it is when needed.
