I agree that he overshares. In his defense, though, he has never had much practice keeping secrets. He never really had the chance. His only real friend was his mother.

Although I know it might surprise a lot of people because at the beginning of the book Rion seemed so shy and dissociated, but I was not really surprised because Rion is just a young innocent boy. This habit is not good but at times it also make you seem trust worthy.

There are real people like that, and I think that flaw makes his character even more relatable. But I daresay his not mingling with a lot of people at first didn't give him the experience to choose who to be open to.

I believe i would describe Rion as naive and trusts easily. It was unfortunate because he was a good hearted person. It's rare to find people so trusting however it did not surprise me. However, it did irritate me how much secrets he gave out.

I agree that Rion opens up incredibly fast about his powers to the other paranormals. But perhaps it was a bubble just waiting to burst. As soon as he found someone like him, he immediately had to share. Nevertheless, it does contradict the version of Rion we first meet where he is so close up and not interested in making friends at high school. Perhaps he did not feel or recognize any kindred spirits.

Room seemed to trust easily. With that being said, he didn’t think too much about keeping too many secrets from people. It wasn’t smart of him to do in many situations, but it was the nature of his personality. That’s at least what I got out of it. I also think that he craved attention because of the kind of life he lived

For me trusting someone is good especially if you know who you put your trust on but to just spill the beans everywhere makes you look like a complete idiot. Rian is really something else, he's like a little child in a world full of demons and horrible people. That's just how I see him.

The author has tried to portray Rion as an innocent child, who easily trust people, and I am not suprised as he reveals his secrets, and open up with some information with almost everyone, because that's what he suppose to do according to author's character development. However, he shouldn't be open up this much easily with everyone as it's not safe.

I would not necessarily call it an inability to keep a secret on Rion's part. Remember at the beginning when he was carrying all the burden of his secret to himself and could not even share with his mother. I guess its just the relief of finally telling someone something that has been bugging you for a while and you realize that a problem half-shared is a problem half solved. It also helps in building trust. However, this may go sideways, like in Rion's case where he is too trusting and ends up trusting even the wrong people. I think the author has really tried to bring our day to day struggles when it comes to the dilemma of keeping a secret or trusting someone with it through the character of Rion, and this makes it very relatable.

i’m actually an introvert by nature so i was surprised that someone who didn’t like to talk much easily shared confidential things. it didn’t exactly add up to me.

Rion was free with information including confidential ones. I feel this is because he is a good person and he thinks others are like him and trusts them easily. Hence he was not good with keeping secrets.

Some people are too easily trusting; especially young people who are still too naïve to know better. So I think it was realistic that Rion had this character trait.

It's probably the situations that turned him into revealing his secrets. The author probably wanted to show that Rion could see good in everyone, even if they don't deserve it.

Rion is a reserved person. As a reserved person, we have tendency to let out our heart if we feel really comfortable around anyone. No, he's not stupid.
