Elon Gathungu wrote: 25 Aug 2021, 09:28 I think sexaholic is not an appropriate description of Zia. I think she is aware of her needs and not afraid to indulge herself. Additionally, focusing on the physical helps to cope with anxiety disorder. Physical expression is tangible. So focusing on the physical aspect of her relations may have reduces the stress and anxiety that comes with trying to understand and uncover a person's secrets, intentions, and character.
That's just what I think, to me it's not that she's "sexaholic", it's a very crude way of labeling her. I feel it's her way of running away from her anxiety disorder.

It is true that she has sex too frequently but I would not call her a sexaholic. She's an introvert, so she explores her sexuality to make up for what she lacks in her social life.

Zia is not a sexaholic. She merely sought out care and love for herself. Her anxiety played a role in being blind to the red flags.

I definitely would not constitute her as being a sexaholic and positive she is not an introvert. I would describe it more as being content with her actions and desires. She is a woman that is confident in knowing what she wants and feels positive that she is good at it

I agree with most of the comments here. She is not a sexaholic instead she is just comfortable with her sexuality and confident enough to impose it. However, her indulgence is perilous, and ends up with bad choices.

I think she's a sexaholic who could not control her sexual urge around the people she loves. No wonder she was blinded and could not penetrate through to see the real character of her lover.

I think sexaholic is too strong of a term to use. I think Zia is comfortable in her sexuality. I think she has a sexual appetite and isn't afraid to explore.

I will say she's just someone that loves sex, having sex with those she loves or have feelings for doesn't make her a sexaholic, I feel maybe is her own way of showing love and feeling love. Body and urge differs, because there are people out there that are genophobia.

I don't think Zia is a sexaholic. It's always great to read about women who embrace their sexuality and are confident and willing to shamelessly pursue good and frequent sex.

I think zia is wild but I don’t see her as a sexaholic . I see her as someone who enjoys Sex and wants to explore. I think sexaholic is too extreme for zia

Sexaholic wouldn't be the best word to describe Zia. She was comfortable in her sexual life and was not in any way afraid to express herself sexually.

I think sexaholic is a very strong word to describe Zia. She may be open and comfortable with her sexuality on a higher level than most ordinary people but she is no sexaholic. I think a sexaholic is addicted to sex and must get it no matter what, but here we see her skipping sex on a few instances where she could have had it if she choose to.

I believe that the word 'sexaholic' was used wrongly in the context above. Zia, to my mind, is just a woman who is comfortable with exploring all her sexual fantasies and sating her desires with people age fancies. Whilst she lets her libido run wild with her love interests, she does not just go running around looking for sex in every corner as one would assume that a person who is addicted to sex would.

So, no, Zia is not a sex addict.
I also believe that she suffers from a bit of anxiety disorder as she seems to show traits of it

From the book, I only saw a lady who was very comfortable in her sexuality and not necessarily a sexaholic. A lot of women are like Zia. They satisfy their urges whenever it arises but they wouldn't comfortble speak about it because the society will shame them.

I wouldn't say sexaholic because women also can have lust. Especially when they have been doing sex for the first time. Usually women's libido would go up.
