I am pretty positive that this is a good book, but I do not prefer the genre. So I will pass on this one. Congratulations on being BOTD and thanks for the free giveaway

Sounds like a great concept for a book, but I wish the information was presented in a more secular way. I will probably pass on it due to the religious bent, but I'm sure many will enjoy it.

I love the idea of thanking people who have blessed our lives. Sometimes we forget to show gratitude, and it should not be limited to one day. Being giving and forgiving is so important to peace and happiness, and I like that she focuses on that. It sounds like an uplifting and positive approach to life. Thanks for the review.

While I am not big on books that follow religious context, I believe that this was a well-written rendition of a simple message: Be a good person and watch good things come to you. In life we are taught to move fast and because we don't always get rewarded for our good behavior and thankful nature, we can tend to turn away from that. In The Power of Thanksgiving we are asked to remain faithful to our values and to our true selves regardless of the situation that lay in front of us. And, while not everyone might view through the use of a higher being, it is a message that we can all relate to and should all embrace.

I especially love the fact that this book begins with the history and meaning behind the first Thanksgiving. It serves as a purposeful introduction to living life through gratitude.

This sounds like a book that most Americans need to read! Too often, I believe, our society gets consumed with 'first
world' problems and we forget how good 'thankful' living can feel.

This book seems like an interesting commentary on gratitude, yet, it doesn’t seem to interest me. :|

Gratitude is a quality that needs practice every day. The author's message points this out in the book. Appreciation for what we already have can be part of our lives, regardless of our beliefs. Thank you for your complete and fabulous review, LV2R!

I agree with this book 100%! If one can find a time each day to write or even acknowledge that which they are grateful for powerful and amazing things can truly happen. I applaud the author for writing about something so profound yet so simple and I applaud you for your review! Not everyone wants to read positive books like this, yet your thoughts are honest and raw. Thank you! I'm definitely jumping into this book!

Thanksgiving as a lifestyle sounds like an interesting concept. Being thankful is important these days for keeping a healthy mind and body. The genre is not one I usually read though.

I'm glad the author pointed the importance of getting right with your family. Forgiveness is also highlighted, so that thanksgiving can flow from the heart. This sounds like a very positive and motivational read. Thanks for the uplifting recommendation.
