A true account of the author's journey around the world sounds inspiring. Sounds like the author had quite a life. Impressive that he met Mother Teresa during his travels. Inserting spiritual quote is a nice touch. That it was well-edited is another bonus. Not for me, but I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!

Father Bury sounds like he has led an extraordinary life! From being held at gunpoint, releasing Vietname prisoners and evening spending time with Mother Theresa, he has done it all.

Father Harry J. Bury has had more encounters and adventures than I'll ever have in my entire life. My curiosity is piqued and I can't wait to find out what happened in Saigon and when he met Mother Theresa...

Based on the review this book is not something that I would enjoy reading. I greatly dislike reading religious content and beliefs. I also have no interest in activism. I will pass on reading this book.

Sounds like an interesting book full of adventures even if it's about the life of a priest whom we naturally assume to be having a boring life. As you said, it would have been easier to follow the story if it was a little bit more organized with everything in the chronological order. Anyway, thanks for the detailed review.

sonya01 wrote: 09 Nov 2018, 03:01 What a fascinating life this man has had! Definitely worthy of an autobiography. It is heartwarming that he achieved so much, in charitable efforts as well as his own personal growth and I reckon we can only learn from his experiences. I may just try out this book on your recommendation. Thank you Cecilia!
