Thank you for the detailed review! I normally don't read these kind of books but I think I might enjoy this one, especially with all the lessons that it's teaching. It will inspire me to do better :lol2:

I am not so into memoirs, but this one was written by a daughter in order to give honor and respect to her father’s life and to document it so that others may follow his example. I value memories and I keep memorable moments and photos. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading this memoir. Thanks for the thorough review.

This sounds like a well-constructed memoir, which I do enjoy. I'm also a city girl myself, so this would be a really refreshing read. Thanks for the lovely review!

I just read a memoir and really didn't like it. It was the same type of thing, basically old stories. What kept this book together and moving forward? Was there a central theme or lessons along the way? I really enjoyed your review and I'm not afraid to jump back into memoirs, but I'm a little leery now.

A thoughtful review, and well presented. The title of the book is enormously appealing and the promise of life lessons scattered through the book draw me to giving this one a try. Thanks for the honest appraisal.

I certainly enjoy reading stories that are about as you mentioned in your review, "...overcoming adversity, living out faith, and giving back to others..."
Without doubts, I will add this book to my to be read list. Thanks for your informative review.

Thanks for the beautiful and thorough review. I sometimes believe that rather than reading self-help books for motivation, we should read memoirs like this. They can teach us so many things, take us to places, put us in someone else's shoes and make us reconsider our choices. This is a book I would love to read. Thanks again!
