I'm glad you enjoyed the book and found the style easy to read. It's also good to know the authors took care not to attempt to strong-arm the reader into the advice. I did check out the author's website (looking for signs of credentials) and saw this book contains a section about "sex is not optional". That was an immediate cringe-worthy comment, as it sends the wrong message. This is not a book I would consider, but thank you for your enlightening review.

Although I am not married, this seems like it would be helpful to those who are. I will pass on this one but congrats on BOTD.

Well detailed review there. Nice book too. If only the aim of the book of refining jaded marriages can be achieved so succinctly, then it'd be rather be important every family read it.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Sounds like a very insightful book for people in newly-wed marriages to have a solid foundation to begin with. I really enjoyed reading your review. Thanks for taking the time to write it.

I appreciate that the authors present the advice the way you might to a friend. That makes this sound like it might be quite the valuable book to read for a married couple.

It sounds too much as a self-help book to got me interested and those are not my cup of tea. But I can understand how this kinda information can become handy for couples.

I am a big fan of any literature that encourages people to readjust their thinking in order to better their lives and their relationships. Sometimes couples get so lost in the maelstrom of everyday life, children, jobs and obligations, that they forget the reasons why they are together. I love it that this book was co-authored - it's testimony to the great partnership that these two have. Thank you for highlighting this useful self-help guide.
