Oh wow I don’t think I’ve ever read anything like this before. I may have to give it a go though because it sounds pretty interesting. I guess there’s a first time for everything huh?

I think the author is deluded in what he expresses in this book as he mixes different belief systems to try and bring down what the Bible teaches. Thanks for the review.

Religious theories are always great to read and they often compel you to believe them and draw you in. Thank you for suggesting.

It will shake a lot to shake off the Biblical teachings as traditionally taught. Everyone is entitled to his opinion. Thanks for the review.

At first glance the book seems to be interesting. Learning the facts behind different theories allows you to make your own conclusion once you're finished. Looks like a good read, ill have to try and find some time for it.

A book that talks about Judas as a savior sounds very interesting and informative. The author offers a new interpretation of the relationship between Jesus and Judas, and based his claims on the Gnostic tradition.

My sincere view is that Judas was given a bad name at the end of the episode with Jesus our lord. However I discard the oversight of the writer as fiction and can never be accepted as norms in Christian belief. The inept analysis to me conot with spiritism that is not Godly.

This is interesting. I wonder why, all these years such a misconception still exists. Nevertheless, it is good to hear views from different angles. Thanks for the hint

I agree with the author that mysticism is a prerequisite for bible interpretation. But I won't add this book because it is strictly based on opinion. Thanks for the review.

“There is no reason to think that the New Testament canon is the original text of the story of the first-century Master, Jesus Christ.” - I applaud that! I'm always surprised how people believe so strongly in things that happened so long ago that all the evidence could be so easily changed or impacted through times. The interpretation, translation, passing years - it all can have a huge influence resulting in the falsification of facts. And we tend to treat everything so seriously!
This review was very exhaustive and nicely covered all the most important points of the book. Good job! What I find most interesting, is that the book challenges what people blindly believe.

I don't have an in-depth knowledge of the subject matter, but everytime I read the Bible I have a lot of questions. I keep wondering as to why a certain thing happened or how things could have been different. Lately, I've stopped taking the meaning in the literal sense and tried to form my own perspective.
In case of this book, it's great that the author has interpreted things in his own way and has found research matter to support his theory. It is good to have an open mind about such things.
Great review!

I'm not one to read books on religion, but Wahler's take on this story is very interesting, especially since it sounds like his arguments are sound. Congrats on BOTD!
