It amazes me that the author went down the Mississippi on "3 inches of foam!" I know how unpredictable the Mississippi can be, and I simply cannot imagine doing it after suffering from a chronic illness, let alone two. The river is mighty, but also is the will of the author.
I am back! 4 months after radiation treatments and still cancer-free!

I know. When I read the blurb I thought maybe it was a joke or something. He is definitely a very strong person. Thank you so much for the great comment. :tiphat:

An uplifting read is always appreciated. I respect the author for sharing his vulnerabilities in a most candid and transparent manner. Your captivating review did it justice, and for that I'm thankful. :tiphat:

I read non fiction from time to time. It is the inspirational stories of defying death and dedication to seemingly impossible feats that draw me in. I love to see the strength and courage people possess.

It is remarkable what the human body can endure. I imagine this would be a really inspiring read. I am left with lots of wondering about how he managed this journey down the river. Wow, what a feat. Thanks for the great introduction to this book.
