[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Inner Vision, Hallways/Corridors Of My Mind" by Frederick T. (Kasien) Thompson.]
Ever wondered what goes on inside a man’s mind? What's he thinking about? Is he hiding something? Does he have secrets? Inner Vision: Hallways/Corridors Of My Mind by Frederick T. (Kasien) Thompson is such a diary full of the writer’s inner thoughts, confessions, advice, and very vivid descriptions of sex and lots and lots of declarations for his loved one.
The book has been written in a format of short passages that have not been segregated in any manner. So the reading experience feels abrupt and surprising at times. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's motivating, sometimes entertaining, and sometimes it makes you wish you had found a loved one as he does. The author has written poems and letters and shown gratitude, longing for his loved one quite a lot. There are even stories with rhyming words like rap lyrics! There are some religious quotations and talk about a higher authority in the book as well, but they are a very small proportion of it and won’t hinder the reading experience of those who don’t believe in them.
About my own likes and dislikes of the book…. I liked that many thoughts and accounts came unfiltered and entertaining. But I wish a few things were kept personal and shared only with a dear one. A couple of stories got really unhinged and felt out of place next to pure devotional text.
I would like to give 'Inner Vision, Hallways/Corridors Of My Mind' 3 out of 5 stars for sharing honest thoughts for loved ones and the world around. One star was deducted for abrupt reading flow and one star for the editing of the book. There were way too many typos and errors in the book. Organizing passages by topic with another round of editing overall would help a lot.
The book is a good read for adults who like real romantic declarations of love along with some other accounts of a very surprising life.
