Winning Seattle Real Estate by Dan Sanchez is a rare gem in the industry that guides buyers and sellers on what will work for or against them. It is apparent from the content of the book that Dan Sanchez is an expert in the field. He reveals many aspects of the business that are not very obvious to laymen and sometimes even to specialists. Dan Sanchez discusses Seattle’s real estate market environment while paying particular focus on features of mortgages, offers and what follows after an offer has been accepted. Most importantly he addresses some very pressing questions and concerns regarding current trends in the real estate market.
Included is a sample of case studies that the author uses in presenting his advice. These were exceedingly useful to me. The stories added an extra flavor of practicality in the treatise and also perspective to Sanchez’s words. In one account, he recounted an experience he had with an elderly man. To many, this man was disagreeable on a number of levels. It turned out that he had been keen on paying his mortgage and he now fully owned his house. He had decided to sell it and he engaged Sanchez who helped him sell then purchase another brand new home. He ended up making a significant gain from the difference.
With more than twenty years of experience, Dan Sanchez definitely has a lot to offer and I loved that this showed in the book. Difficult terms and processes such as steps to get started in the purchase of a new house, what Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) means, the constituents of an offer and others were explained in detail to readers who are murky in this field like me.
The book is written for both amateurs and experienced participants of real estate. A bit of further editing would have perfected the book. Still, a lot can be gleaned from reading it. It changed my whole outlook and left me with much-needed tips.
I was also delighted to find out that even though Winning Seattle Real Estate by Dan Sanchez is primarily focused on the real estate market in the Seattle area, the insight the author provides is quite useful for residents of other states too.
While the book propagates the incredible significance in paying attention to details and learning everything that is related to the transactions in question, Winning Seattle Real Estate provides invaluable sagacity and possible learning points for all readers that will help them succeed in their next property purchase or sale. I rate it 3 out of 4 stars.
