Wow this seems like an extremely heavy and triggering read. I appreciate how you explained the story and warnings, as such a book with triggering content could harm some readers. Thank you for the excellent review!

This sounds heavy. Too heavy for me. Well done on the amazing review. This must have been very difficult to dissect in order to put words on to paper. And in such a tasteful way! Awesome. Well done.

You wrote a nice summary of the book without telling too much of the ending. It sounds like Sharon really went through so much hardship and heartache. My heart aches with her as you described her life. I am glad that she is "more than a conqueror". A book like this shows that God is our healer and deliverer.

I like your review as it shows clearly the strengths of the book. Sadly, I dont think I can read this book because Sharon's story is simply too heartbreaking.

This sounds like an inspiring tale of recovery from hard knocks. I liked the sound of her way with words which led her to dub someone Garden Tool - I thought that was quite a nice touch!
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

Thanks for writing such a nice review. You have a good, well-connected writing style. "A burden shared is a burden halved", so the author is surely feeling better now having shared her pain with others! Yes, I too agree with the author that God (Jesus) protects us in umpteen ways if we trust him - so, this becomes her open witness to His saving and redemptive power that's available to all, anytime. It may encourage several others that are hurting inside to open up and tell others what they are going through, to experience relief. Thanks for showcasing a good book so well thru this equally nice review!

It moves me to read that after such a traumatic experience she had to wait a long time to work up the courage to tell her Mama, and, even then, she could only do it through a note. This is something we as women can understand. Quite moving, to be honest.

Love the way you write!

So many bad things happen in this life and to be able to achieve redemption either by faith or by other means is great. I too felt Sharon'spain through the review. I will not be taking up this particular read but I do appreciate the review. It was well written and pretty clear.
I thought the same thing as I read. Thank you for your kind comment.

There is so much that can be learned from stories like Sharon's including compassion for others and always treating everyone with respect, especially since you never know what they have been through or are going through. I just can't read books that are that emotionally raw.

Excellent review. I just can't read this book.
I understand completely. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Though there were uplifting sections, it is true that much of the content could be a trigger. Thanks for your comment, Morgan!

Thank you. My heart went out to Sharon too. I agree, and I selected the book partly because of the verse relating to the title.
