I thought the same thing as I read. Thank you for your kind comment.Faithmwangi wrote: ↑08 Jul 2018, 08:36 It is stories like this that one, makes me grateful for the life I have and also reminds me not to take it for granted. So many bad things happen in this life and to be able to achieve redemption either by faith or by other means is great. I too felt Sharon'spain through the review. I will not be taking up this particular read but I do appreciate the review. It was well written and pretty clear.

Though difficult to read, I agree that there is much to learn from this type of story. Thanks for your comment.

I understand completely. Thank you for reading and commenting.kfwilson6 wrote: ↑10 Jul 2018, 10:55 I almost cried when I read your review. I'm still sitting here fighting tears. This is why I can't read books about abuse. It's just far too heartbreaking. There is so much that can be learned from stories like Sharon's including compassion for others and always treating everyone with respect, especially since you never know what they have been through or are going through. I just can't read books that are that emotionally raw.
Excellent review. I just can't read this book.

Though there were uplifting sections, it is true that much of the content could be a trigger. Thanks for your comment, Morgan!Morgan Jones wrote: ↑10 Jul 2018, 19:38 Wow this seems like an extremely heavy and triggering read. I appreciate how you explained the story and warnings, as such a book with triggering content could harm some readers. Thank you for the excellent review!

Bianka, it was much heavier reading than I anticipated when I selected it. I appreciate your kind comment!Bianka Walter wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018, 16:19 This sounds heavy. Too heavy for me. Well done on the amazing review. This must have been very difficult to dissect in order to put words on to paper. And in such a tasteful way! Awesome. Well done.

Thank you. My heart went out to Sharon too. I agree, and I selected the book partly because of the verse relating to the title.LV2R wrote: ↑11 Jul 2018, 20:20 You wrote a nice summary of the book without telling too much of the ending. It sounds like Sharon really went through so much hardship and heartache. My heart aches with her as you described her life. I am glad that she is "more than a conqueror". A book like this shows that God is our healer and deliverer.
