I’m sure this would be very interesting for people who want to read and understand the bible more. This book definitely isn’t one that I would choose to read but I can see the appeal that it would have.

I like deep thinking daily meditations these days. Things that make me think. I am not sure that these would live up to that challenge, considering their brevity. But I am always interested in reading the perspective of others and learning from their experience.

The author presents good thoughts and tries to develop readers spiritual connection with God. Good review.

I grew up using many devotional books in a bid to get closer to God. But 'First Fruits' promises a greater chance of achieving my goal.

As an Agnostic Atheist, I fall into the category of "not for me." However, I can see this being pretty popular with Christians, probably particularly southern Baptist based on what you said about the author's affiliation. Thanks for your thorough insight. It should be very helpful to those interested in this book.

The space on the page left open for personal use is a nice touch. Looking forward to growing in my faith as a Christian. Thank you for your well-written review.

Thanks for your honest review. I guess the author wrote as she heard from the Lord, even though the topics seemed too brief, and somewhat disjointed, bearing in mind that we are influenced by numerous and diverse forces daily, weekly. Everyone can benefit from the truth!

This book deeply resonated with me. Being a Christian myself, I have always believed that God has the power to heal in every way. I especially like how you get the chance to self-reflect on the readings in this book. I believe that is a very essential component for biblical studies. It is the best way to figure out your own individual understanding on the Scripture and its meaning.

Looks like a great Christian daily devotional to start a good day. Love studying the Bible and love to read personal experiences. Congrats on BOTD.

The idea of dividing the book into fifty two weeks in a great way to encourage organized and systemic reading!

This book will no doubt be of interest to many, but it isn't for me. The fact that it doesn't stay on the topic of the week makes it seems disorganized in a way. This is just not the type of book that I would read for many reasons. I'm sure many will enjoy it though. Thanks for your review.

FIRST FRUITS BY SUSAN BUTLER
I like the idea of organizing the topics. For sure it'll be of great positive impact to so many. However, the fact that it does not stay on the week's topic, doesn't seem so good. Thanks for the great review.

I enjoy reading well-written Christian-based books. Since this one is a daily devotional, I guess it'll be very useful for daily prayers and Bible study.
