Garden Design for Everyone Volume II by Robin Johnson is a nonfiction book that talks about gardens. The author, in this book, gives a step-by-step procedure for cultivating a thriving garden from the beginning. He points out that there is a relationship between the soil and human health. This is true, and that makes us direct and primary beneficiaries of good soil. The author also lists what to expect from the book, and that is what I got. He encourages tree-planting and environment-nurturing and emphasizes giving our garden a professional look. I never knew that gardens need planning until I read this book. There are numerous advantages, and they are listed by the author. I learned the functions of a garden and that there are jobs in the gardening line. To know more about how to cultivate a beautiful and functional garden, you will want to get a personal copy of this book.

If there is a school subject or course on garden design, this book will undoubtedly suffice as a practical resource material. I want to guess that the author meant this as a practical guide: he used personal experiences and practices. The quality of information that the author passed right from the first page through this book is deep; I knew that I was in for an interesting read. I love the assertive manner with which the author passed his message. The descriptive writing skill of the author will aid the comprehension of readers and make it easy for every reader who wants to create a beautiful garden to achieve their aim.

I like how each chapter opens with a list of what to expect and ends with summary points. The summary points for every procedure given by the author are super helpful. Readers who need to check something quickly can easily do so and save time. I also appreciate the pictures contained in the book. I could visualize the instructions better with them.

I found no errors in this book. This simply means it was professionally edited. I rate it 5 out of 5 stars because of this and for the helpful information it contains.

If you are interested in gardening, seeing beauty around you, and preserving the environment, I wholeheartedly recommend this book to you.
