There are an awful lot of self-help books out there, but it sounds like you’ve found a gem.

I hope things get better for you!!
I'm glad the author drew some comparisons to famous people, as it helps to see how things can be overcome. It sounds like this book has so much to offer that I would definitely consider this read. Thanks for a great review!

A self-help book that teaches how to stay strong in tough circumstances sounds inspiring indeed. That the book is interactive is a plus. It is good that the author provides both information and exercises. It isn't my cup of tea, especially with the religious overtones, but I am glad you found the book beneficial. Thank you for the review.

It sounds like this book has a lot of helpful and valuable information for anyone who feels they are in a simialr situation. Although I’m not into reading self help books myself I can always see how uplifting, positive and thought provoking they can be. I also think the group study questions are a great idea!

Thanks for the thorough review, but I don't care for self-help books, and I do not need this one; with everything I've been through, I'd be dead if I didn't have resiliency in spades. I do appreciate its focus on Christianity, though, as too many of these kinds of books are based on a bunch of mumbo-jumbo or hooey.

I looked at the sample and read the nicely detailed review. It appears to be an interesting topic on resilience and how it helps people cope with the unexpected and difficult circumstances in life. It seems like it does have some useful information and the addition of exercises should help reinforce the concepts presented.
