Nice review here. The story sounds funny. I thought it was about a teen. To me, it feels quite awkward but I am quite sure that some will find story practical. I would love to read and find out the reason as to why Becky opted for online dating.

I share your complaint that I would want to hear more deeply about her late husband and dating as a widow. It seems that, especially with taking up a lot of time with her back story in the beginning, that the storytelling structure is not coherent. I'm glad to hear she's funny and conversational, and I look forward to reading about her experiences and perspective. My personal preference is for stories to dive a little deeper, like exploring the narrative of being a widow, but it seems like her book is a fun read. Thanks for sharing your review.

Thanks Samsim, Kibetious, and Gkgurley for the nice feedback! Gkgurley - I also would have liked the story to go deeper about the author being a widow. It would have given an extra layer to an otherwise light, funny read. Although the stories about the different men are humorous, the author sometimes finds fault with the men about petty things. I wonder if these men will find out she wrote a book and included stories of their dates.

Oh, this book just makes me laugh. My mother (a divorcee after 20 years with my father, and a widow after her second husband tragically passed) is in DIRE need of this book. So many of your comments remind me of her that I'm sure the book will hit the nail right on the head where she is concerned. Thanks, owlie!

My aunt has a friend who is about the same age as the lady in this book. She recently signed up for a dating website and she kept commenting on the  she was getting. It was really funny to hear her talk about it because she signed up but then was too afraid to respond to anyone. I think she needs this book. BTW online dating sites are addictive!!! It's so much fun (if you are single!). Nice review, sounds like a fun read.

Love the review. The review was quite humourous as well. The part about not having dated since the first astronuts, was hilarious. Keep up the good work. :)

This sounds hilarious. I've seen something like this before as far as an older person getting into online dating. However, this one sounds like it's much more well written than others. Thanks for the great review and I'm glad you found a book that was so enjoyable.

I love humorous memoirs, and the fact that the book is not all too long gave me the push to add it to my forever growing TBR shelf.
