Robin Johnson says that gardening changed a lot in the last 20 years, and this is why he came out with Garden Design for Everyone, Volume II. Climate change is an example of what can affect gardening. The book helps people who need to have some knowledge and help with their garden design and details. This part focuses more on the soil. It talks about making garden compost and how to build a garden structure, particularly the soil. It also helps with what plants we can plant through different times of the year and the yearly calendar of the garden. It shows what trees can be put together to create the garden border.

When I started the book, I was questioning how helpful it could be as a guide to such a practical matter. I found the book to be direct and organized. Every chapter has an introduction to what it contains and a summary at the end. It provides good tips and support with photos and diagrams. I particularly liked the hand drawings that gave more illustration. The photos were colorful and can bring joy throughout your experience with the book. I like how the writer introduced many types of beautiful flowers and trees that you get to know when you get the book. Those pictures were my favorite. I enjoyed seeing all those colorful and unique plants.

There is nothing to dislike about the book. I enjoyed the visual experience and the information about gardening, although I'm new to it. Seeing how you can choose certain plants to create good surroundings for the garden and choosing trees that flourish in each season provided a nice experience. The book delivers what it promises. It also received professional editing. I only noticed a few minor errors that didn't affect my experience at all. Therefore, I rate Garden Design for Everyone, Volume II by Robin Johnson five out of five stars. I recommend the book to people who are interested in gardening, especially those who need help with designing their own garden.
