I can just hear the sass from the title alone. I don't think I will read this book, however, since the help I need is not currently focused on the topics of this book.

I like that the book focuses on self-empowerment and taking charge of one's life. I think it's important for people seeking help to be their own hero.

Very thorough review. This makes me want to read this book, as it sounds like a welcome change of pace from books that offer nothing but positive thinking and platitudes -- the kind of stuff you can put on a T-Shirt or coffee mug. Unfortunately, life's not that simple, and the author of this book seems to realize that.

I thought this might be your run-of-the-mill self-help book, but I am pleasantly surprised it is not. With the tough love angle and the focus on building character, makes this book stand out.

It is great that someone has come up with an actual realistic approach to self help. Most of the time authors seem to give us a fantasy type of approach. This seems like it could actually work. Thank you for the review. I like the title. I will definitely read this book.

I like that the author talks about the importance of work and acknowledges that people give success different meanings. Thanks for the excellent review!

:techie-studyingbrown:I wrote off the title but :frustration means that you are trying to do something about something that you are either unwilling or unable to do anything about," :techie-studyingbrown:

According to my experience, In life there should be challenges by which we can know the bad and good in our big world to get the better one. I love this book as it is based on our life challenges. '' Never give up in ur life the motive of the fiction''

I don't really read self-help books, but I might make an exception with this book. The reviewer makes this book seem unique compared to other self-help books since it has a "tough love" approach. I do like the idea of "hold yourself accountable for the future".

This sounds like a book I need to read. I fall victim to the "yeah, but" mindset, and the "crawling, walking, running" format sounds like something easy to digest and learn from.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I'm loving the tough-love approach to self-help. Life isn't easy, so work for your success! "Yeah but," has always been a pet peeve of mine. Take responsibility for your actions. I'll except explanations but never excuses.
