Despite the editing issues, I'm looking forward to reading today's BOTD. :-) Memoirs have a special way of teaching readers life lessons through their own stories and experiences. I love the positivity...goes to show how powerfulthe mind is! Thank you and great review!

I have to agree with some of the comments here. It does sound very much like an inspirational book. And from my own experience, most people who are disabled or handicapped from an early age tend to have a very positive outlook on life in general. That outlook often had the effect of them being an inspiration to others.

Sometimes books on disabilities can be condescending but I’ll check this one out. You’ve made it sound inspirational. Too bad about the errors.

Thanks for the great review. It is like a breath of fresh air to see someone have such a positive outlook on life when most, in the same position would feel like the word owed them.

This was a great review of what you loved about the book, gives me a real insight about both the author and her story. A positve and strong woman that had to face so much to stand tall.

Thanks for the review. I also like the way the author presents the various issues in different chapters. It makes the book easier to read. I totally support the author's argument that we have to view our life from a positive dimension otherwise we will be victims of self-pity. I will read this.

I like how well you highlighted particular issues in the book that are still very prevalent today. I also appreciate that you emphasized that the main character is not going to be abrasive, but actually someone we can relate to on any of the levels she represents. I look forward to reading it!

Thank you for your interesting review. I am not a fan of memoirs or biographies so I don't think that this book will appeal to me. While I like that the author tells her story from three different perspectives I'm not engaged in wanting to know more about the story. I'm sure that there are many who will wish to and enjoy reading her account of the civil rights movement as well as her battle with cerebral palsy.

:D Actually this book has made my day change because it made me think differently from how I was.
I realized that in this world we have to work. I rate it 5 star for those who are looking for ways to manage life.

I downloaded this book today and can't wait to dive in. So often we allow life to dictate what we can do.
This book reads as if it is uplifting and powerful.
Anyone who ever doubts what they can do should give it a read.

It’s Easier to Dance: Living Beyond Boundaries is another memoir? At this point, i am beginning to get tired of reading people's memoir. Just a few motivates me. though, i will be reading this one ...like a try.

First off, nice job on the review. I do not normally read non-fiction but her story definitely sounds inspiring. It is too bad about the grammatical errors but glad you still enjoyed the book.
