We need to educate people about the challenges of the disabled. Their relatives and or wards should be ready to help them develop their talents for the benefit of the society.

The review is great but unfortunately I am not really into memoirs, so I'll pass this.
Congratulations BOTD.

Thank you for your review - I look forward to reading this book, it sounds like the author has a truly unique and inspiring perspective. That's unfortunate that it needs more editing, it sounds like a 4-star book.

This sounds like an inspirational and insightful story. I would be interested in hearing about life for a disabled person before the ADA law was passed.

This memoir will be of great help to all who have this deficiency. Living a life with cerebral palsy could easily drive a person into negativity, sorrow, and depression. I admire the author for sharing and motivating those who are suffering in the same illness. Her positivity will light up their lives, and convince them to think positive, too.

Thanks for the detailed review.

It's sound really inspirational. It will serve as an inspiration to people with different disabilities and limitations to never give up because where there is a will, there is a way.Great review.

Great review. I rarely read memoirs, so I wouldn't pick this book to read. I loved how the author Annie is able to inspire those with disability through her life story. It's a great pick for any reader because it encourages one to face one's challenges.

Sounds like a very intersectional book, what a unique perspective to get to read about! Added to my to-read list!

As a disabled person who just got this book, (and therefore hasn't read it yet) I nevertheless need readers here to be aware that "never let it hold you back" is fiction. It always does, both for physical reasons and barriers in society.Society is just barely catching up to the needs of disabled people, and I don't expect the struggle for equality to be resolved in my lifetime. I still always appreciate hearing from other people about their lives and struggles, though.
CP is not a deficiency...it's a brain injury sustained usually at birth, to the brain's motor center, the cerebrum.

This sounds like an amazing Tale of living life against the odds during the Civil Rights Movement from the perspective of a woman, a minority, and someone with a disability.

The author really showed her personality in how she wrote her thoughts. As someone with a congenital physical disability, this really spoke to me. I have also worked with others that live with Cerebral Palsy, so seeing the author's accomplishments shows me that these individuals are just as diverse as those with Down Syndrome or on the Autism Spectrum.

I like the idea that each chapter has a different element to it. It makes skipping the chapters I'm not interested in so much easier. Still, it doesn't seem to be my sort of book.
