This sounds like a fascinating story - so close to our time in some ways and yet such a different world. You obviously found it very moving and your review stays sensitive to that whilst also offering some clear-eyed analysis.

I think this will make for an interesting read. It is always amazing to see the strength of others and how they rise and overcome their circumstances. Motherhood at any age is challenging, but at 16 it is a mountain! Thanks for the informative review.

This sort of situation has affected so many young girls and boys, and thus created so much poverty in many countries. Books such as this should be handed out to young girls and boys from an early age to prevent this sort of situation.

The story of the two, mother and daughter, is really sad and touching. I would love to read the whole story to find out what life had in store for them. Thanks for the review.
