Review of The CEOs Digital Marketing Playbook
Thomas J. Donohoe, the author of 'The CEOs Digital Marketing Playbook,' offers valuable insights into how companies approach marketing. I have not read a book so insightful, unique, exceptional, and productive as this one. During my reading, I became absorbed in the processes, and the concise yet illustrative nature of the writing created a lasting impact on my emerging project. The messages in the book are efficient and will drive growth like wildfire.
To make 21st-century marketing effective, apply these strategies for better results. The book is for leaders of companies in the B2B world or high-value B2C industries where the net present value of every new customer is up to a few hundred bucks. The book is also for small business owners who need a step-by-step process on the plan of action in 21st-century marketing. The book creates a world where CEOs channel their resources for pure gold in mass and brand marketing.
Specifically, I like the author's strategies. Thomas left the conventional ways of marketing and introduced the leader to exceptional methods that easily create desired outcomes. These tactics expose the reader to the formula (the big picture) in marketing, a practice checklist, and the right questions to ask your marketing leader. The book teaches profitable customer generation tactics—the importance of used data. The author carefully explains how to place ads in search engines. Thomas uses Google and Facebook to illustrate some processes, advantages, disadvantages, dos, and don'ts of company marketing. The explanations are very concise but extensive.
The first chapter is the one I learned the most from. It taught me the background knowledge of digital marketing, carefully explaining digital advertising, types of websites according to customers' experience, and the other tools in the toolkit. The author also identified the key terms and acronyms in the marketing world. I like the quality of information in the book. The narrative, descriptive, and practical nature are the positive aspects.
As an emerging entrepreneur, I do not dislike the book. There are no negative aspects in the book; all information was helpful to me. The editing is excellent; it improves my enjoyment of the book. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars for its high-quality information and exceptional writing style. I will recommend the book specifically to companies in the B2B world or high-value B2C industries where the net present value of every new customer is up to a few hundred bucks. In general, every entrepreneur should read the book. The information within is golden.
