This book lays bare Comfort's low and high moments that shaped her ultimate destiny.ย
ย
Born in Swaziland, she was named Comfort, referred to as Dudu in Siswati to mean one who pacifies. Upon completing college, she secured a job as a banker with Nedbank in Swaziland and later grew in rank to become a bank manager at one of the bank's branches. Dudu's marriage with Lucas failed to be successful but left her with two children, a boy and a girl. She got another child from a controversial relationship with Kholwa.ย
ย
Dudu spent time working for Nedbank before eventually becoming anxious to explore life overseas, deciding to set off to the UK, then the USA, and finally land in Canada, leaving her children in Eswatini.ย
ย
Comfort is determined to work out herself overseas to secure her future and bring her children to join her overseas. What will happen to her children back in Eswatini? Will Comfort ever manage to reunite with her children again? Will she secure the future she dreamt of once she lands overseas? What awaits her in the UK, USA, and Canada? Grab a copy of this book to unravel answers to these questions.ย
ย
I was excited to see how Comfort weaved together her story from the beginning. How events unfolded made me long to turn over to the next page as fast as I could. Dudu narrating her encounter with Sucre before talking about her exit from Eswatini creates a desire in the reader to dig deeper into the circumstances leading to her takeoff overseas, which holds the reader's attention.ย
ย
I loved how Comfort discussed love, heartbreak, faith, family, perseverance, and courage, illustrating them with her life. Most notable is how she handled the do-or-die immigration hurdles in Canada. Her determination to reunite with her children underscores how valuable she held her family.ย
ย
I commend Comfort for writing such an engaging story. It is indeed an engaging book. My recommendation would be to increase the font size to accommodate all readers with different visuals.ย
ย
I give this book a ๐Ÿ“ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ“ ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ซ rating. I enjoyed reading this book. I couldn't put it down once I grabbed it. It is intriguing and engaging. It was professionally edited. I singled out a few typographical errors. The few typo errors I noted couldn't make me deduct a star. I recommend this book to people who love autobiographical books. They will be excited to learn from this captivating story of Dudu and her ups and downs overseas.
