This comes over as an engaging account of an extraordinary life. I wasn't sure if I'd want to read the whole book, but your review is very convincing.

Real life makes for the best stories. I would be interested in learning how John Costello emerged successfully from his childhood environment of danger and abuse. I especially like that he valued relationships and was a good friend. I enjoyed your excellent review and look forward to reading this book!

Memoirs are not my cup of tea so I'll pass. Still the review is well written and the book seems to be pretty interesting describing the author's hardships in life and his road to a successful career in a billion-dollar semiconductor company. I'm sure a lt of people will enjoy reading this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

After reading this review I found the rating inappropriate because the reviewer mentioned some typographical errors and miss commas making the book not perfect no matter how good the story is.

It makes me so happy to hear that this book is just a genuine, honest memoir - so often, authors try to insert too many personal opinions, making the book less narratively sound.

This memoir tells how a Chicago streetwise kid rose the executive ladder which shows that "a nobody can become somebody". An inspiring memoir to those out there struggle and hustling to never give up on yourself never give up on your dreams. An amazing review, from the review I could feel the reviewer's love for the memoir and it does sound entertaining and oozing with genuine sincerity.

Just like John, I also received countless beatings way back in my childhood years. On the contrary, my father encouraged me to help myself achieve an education. I was an academic scholar in the whole 4 high school years. I'm glad you enjoyed reading this book. Thanks for the detailed review.

What an interesting memoir... Honestly, John Costello's street life was an unforgettable one to him, his father and anyone who must have been there or read this memoir. Only his determination and persistence turned his life into a positive one. His father must be proud of his son now wherever he may be.
Your review is excellent and it inspires me educationally.
Thank you

From the review John Costello's story seems to be a very interesting and entertaining one, and thats the type of book i like. I am also suprised that the author did not even hide some of his personal relationships in his life.

The memoir recounting the life of John Costello who passed through so much trouble at childhood .His father never even encouraged him and even thought it was a waste of school fees .It was such a great motivation reading about John Costello's troubles and how he became successful

Executive Hoodlum has a very catchy title and an interesting cover. The subject is so interesting. I love historical novels or memoirs written as if you are reading a novel, and this sounds so inspirational as well. I am sure this is the kind of book I would enjoy.

I'm still working on downloading the book. Thank you for offering this on Amazon for free. That's awesome!!

Thank you for your review. Memoirs for me are always touch and go but after reading your review, I think this is something that I would like to read. I think there is something to be learned from this book and I can't wait to figure out what it is! :techie-studyinggray: :techie-studyinggray:
