Review of Chasing Seyboro
The book “Chasing Seyboro” by 'Diesel' Dave Galloway tells the story of Dave Galloway. He is a husband to Kay Galloway, has three children, and is a cyclist and a member of the Seyboro Cyclist bicycle club. He is the director of the N.C. Motorcycle Safety Program. The family love is inspirational. The spirit of friendship in his grandchildren makes him excited. The book explains the author’s life from his adulthood through his dark years to the point of survival, outlining the virtues that helped him navigate these periods.
As everything in Dave's life was going well, he decided to go for his usual bicycle ride, and on the ride, he crashed into a car. He was hit head-on by an automobile. He immediately lost consciousness and required medical attention. This single action changed the trajectory of his life. Did he come out of the crash in one piece? Did he die from the crash? What is the fate of his family? What is its impact on his friends? Readers will find answers in the book.
I like the tenacity of the author. Throughout the book, the author expresses the notion of hope and faith. He develops faith and refuses to let go of hope. The relationship between Dave and his cycling club is enchanting. It shows the spirit of brotherhood. I do not dislike the book. The expressive nature of the book relates to the readers.
The book title is a positive aspect of the book. It discloses the love and oneness within the Seyboro Cyclist Bicycle Club. These are evident in how they treat their members. I could not find a negative aspect of the book. The narration is relatable. The message is direct and honest. The editing is flawless.
Having read and analyzed the book “Chasing Seyboro” by 'Diesel' Dave Galloway, I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The reasons for my rating are above. I recommend the book to couples. Families and social clubs will enjoy the book.
