I can definitely understand this not being a book for everyone. I couldn't see the author telling his story any other way, but that doesn't change the offensiveness of some of the parts. Thank you for stopping by and for sharing your thoughts.kislany wrote:Enjoyed reading your review. The book seems a bit heavy for me. I am (depending on my mood) slightly offended by harsh or explicit language, so I might have to pass on this one ... Although it does seem intriguing enough.

Thank you! It can be a bit much, and in other settings I typically do not enjoy the use of harsh language. So, I definitely see where you are coming from. Thank you for your thoughts!Nthabeleng wrote:I really want to know more about Oliver but the strong language puts me off a little, very good review ☺

Thank you for your thoughts. I agree; it does take courage to share those parts of your past in a book.Vickie Noel wrote:I like how down-to-earth the author is and his upfront honesty about the contents of his novel. It takes a lot of courage to share the unsavory parts of one's life in the manner of writing a book. Thanks for the easy flowing review as well, Christina.

Other than that, he comes out original in his writing.
The follow of ideas is smooth. The build up well connecting.
