Truth is many times stranger than fiction. This author faced so many challenges in his life. He has written three memoirs as of the last count.

Thanks, Adinamurariu for the kind words!

I love that this is a book that many people can relate to or gain something from. This sounds like a really good book!

Great Review! ?

His life reads like a telenovela. Drama, comedy, suspense, horror - all there! And the man was born to write; he's an Ota.

Go ahead, Walter7! I am sure you will learn a thing or two. Thanks for dropping by.

P.S. If I recall correctly, you have a baby boy. The author has a son. You will like the story of the little boy.

The book depicts how the author reached for and fulfilled "The American Dream."

Thanks for the appreciation, Sarah Tariq!

While awaiting approval for political asylum, the author (and his parents) stayed in various shelters in American-controlled Germany. It was a difficult wait, but he was grateful for the simple joys. During those 18 months, Charles eagerly anticipated the arrival of the food rations from the US mainland, largely because he loved the contents of a rectangular can called Spam. This made me smile; I love Spam (4 stars every time haha). I detest those who have given Spam a bad reputation! LOL
