It's great that the book follows a natural progression through the author's life despite being told in a nonlinear fashion. The theme of second chances is always enlightening. Thanks for the cool review.

Thanks for the review. This sounds like a very self-reflective type of book that the author then expands toward his family and applies to the city. I am glad that it has worked for him and that you found it done in a way that allows the accolades due to gurus and such.

I downloaded the free book, but I’m not sure this one is for me. The author seems to be able to relay his life in an interesting way from your review, but I’m not into memoirs. I'm glad you liked the book though, and it sounds like he's a talented writer. Thanks for the review!

This book sounds compelling and inspirational. I particularly like the excerpt you've provided in which he describes the inability of most people to escape the small town he grew up in; I grew up in a small town, too, and we basically call it a blachole that no one can come out of, so I related deeply to that quote. Thank you for the detailed and helpful review.
