Thanks for a great review CataclysmicKnight on Personal encounters with Cancer. I wish I came across this when my sister in law was dealing with lung cancer. Unfortunately she passed away last year from it. The personal stories in the book are reveling and touching. Thanks to Margaret.

Thank you for sharing Personal Encounters with Cancer" by Margaret Phalor Barnhart. Cancer is a devastating disease that has and will affect most people in some ways. I lost a beautiful daughter-in-law to colon cancer when she was young and have had other family members and close friends who've been able to beat earlier stages of cancer. A book like this could provide inspiration and understanding to those who have been impacted.

Thank you for a wonderful review. I fully agree with the review and I have only read the sample, but plan to finish the book tonight. Definitely a book to read even if you're fortunate enough not to know anyone with cancer. At some point in your future you most likely will have a personal experience with it.

Nice review of the book "Personal Encounters with Cancer" by Margaret Phalor Barnhart. This is more of a lifestyle disease and the cure is sometimes harder and more painful than the disease itself. How the subjects who are cancer afflicted can cope with the hardships is what this book is about. Very uplifting! :tiphat: :techie-studyingbrown:

It's scary to think that a cough or a fever can lead to cancer. Early diagnosis is a big savior for people who have cancer. However, many of us usually neglect these kind of symptoms and let's face it, not all of us have the money for a regular checkup.

Thank you for your review! I can’t imagine how difficult yet encouraging and inspiring it must be to read a book that probably everyone can relate to in some way. If you don’t know someone who has been diagnosed with cancer chances are you will during your lifetime.

Mahalo for an informative review! I had family and friends that battle this. I will pass on this book because of this. I only read a few pages. I think this book could be used as a support network.

We often have friends who go through cancer, but we don't truly know all the personal details and struggles. This book sounds like it can really give insight to people and be a big help to anyone dealing with cancer themselves, or those who have loved ones dealing with it. I too commend the author for writing it. Thanks for your insightful review.

Sounds like an emotional and tough book to read, but certainly inspiring. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd enjoy it very much.

I think I will give this book a try even though I am not into these kind of books. This seems like an emotional and inspirational story about how cancer can seriously affect someone's life. Thank you for the review.
