We all want to be successful, but are we willing to pay the cost? This includes the sleepless nights, the endless tears and sweat, as well as drifting apart from family and friends. How To Be Successful by M. Curtis McCoy is an informative and inspirational book that helps readers come out of their comfort zones so as to live a life full of fulfilled desires.

In his book, the author shares interviews with successful individuals such as Jeff Wobig, Connie Wyatt, Paul. B. Watson and Eric Payne. He helps readers understand their different perspectives on success, steps they can take to improve their daily lives, their greatest strength and how it has impacted their success. He does not shy away from reminding them about their weaknesses, what they are doing about them, or even how to overcome them. Through these insights, readers get motivated and driven to achieve their desires. He also helps readers understand what delayed gratification is and how to cultivate it, how to make new friends and how to take pride in themselves.

What I loved the most about the book was the knowledge about how far people are always willing to go so as to make it in life. The author, M. Curtis McCoy, despite being diagnosed with brain cancer and given only ninety days before dying, beats all odds and starts his company, Best Cellular. His story motivates and inspires readers to understand that they are stuck in difficult situations because they are not determined and focused enough to achieve whatever they want.

There is nothing I liked the least about this book. All the interviewees, including the author, acknowledged that dependence on a high deity (God) is very rewarding. This, therefore, helps readers understand that they cannot accomplish all by their might but through God, who will direct and guide them in their journey.

The book is incredibly well-edited since I did not find any grammatical errors or mistakes. I award it the maximum rating of five out of five stars as readers will benefit from the valuable insights the book has to offer. I recommend this book to all readers who are willing and committed to changing their lives for the better. Unfortunately, non-believers will not enjoy this book as much because it has lots of biblical stories and verses.
