Reading the Amazon sampling, I thought it how convenient that the war and the draft ended just a day before his birthday. Really? But then he quotes about how all things work together for the good of those who believe. The review gives me a good gist of the story, and the LGBT view in the light of religion.

With this book, there is a possibility of full turnaround. Stars should be properly rated.

Although I have read some books on the topic (mostly fiction or fictionalised) this one seems to take a very unique approach to the topic. And the humour definitely adds to it. A great review. Thanks.

This does seem like a great book to help under stand the hardships of people who are LGBTQ but, it's not my cup of tea. Great review though! It was very well written!

This reminds me of a new movie that came out last year focusing on St. Ignacio de Loyola! It was a great movie and I can see how his story can inspire others to do great things.

Having read the sample, I can see that the author's sense of humor was an important component to his spiritual journey. Thanks for the review.

Just by glancing at the book title and cover, I thought this book is not for me. But after reading your review, I am now curious about the book. I checked the sample and the author's humor and sarcasm really gives the book a casual feel. Thanks for your great review!

Thanks for your review! This sounds like an interesting story, as I enjoy parallel stories, if they're done well. Many of my friends are LGBTQ, so that makes the book even better! Definitely on my TR list.

It's nice to read that the author has kept his faith even though he no longer considers himself a Catholic.

This sounds like an awesome book and this is the first review that I have read about a book about the LGBTQ community. I like that the author challenges the notion that those who are gay cannot be religious. I also like that he quotes Bible verses and the ease at which the book is written. Great review!

LGBTQ community is the most common in the society nowadays. Some people are questioning their existence which they called it inappropriate way of living. This book will be a sample that even though they did not accept what their gender really are, they are still accepted by God. Congrats on a well-written review!

This is a wonderful account of one man's struggle with his spirituality versus his lifestyle choices, and I found it to be a touching, often quite funny and very relevant book for today's society. Your review was extremely interesting, drawing the parallels between the life of Saint Ignatius and that of the author Tom Beattie. The review was informative, but not judgmental, and for that I was most appreciative. Thank you for a very well written and thoughtful review, I enjoyed reading it immensely!
