Healing your Attachment Wounds by author Boadi Moore is a deeply psychological book that captures a very well-researched understanding of what attachment is, the different attachment styles, their roots, how they play a role in our adulthood life and relationships, and how we can heal the wounds left by our need to connect and be attuned to each other as humans. It has research from renowned experts in the field like Drs. Gabor Maté and Bessel Van der Kolk, personal insight where the author explores her story as an example of the science and useful and practical steps to start healing. She acknowledges that healing takes time and effort but is rather hopeful that we can all access it, especially if we as women share our journeys as a sisterhood and help each other out.

I found that the book was interesting, it explained complex psychological topics (e.g., trauma, mirror neurons, attachment theory) in such a way that it was easy enough to understand and at the same time enjoyable to read. It proved to be a well-researched book which is very important when approaching these sensible topics and when guiding healing. Also, I found it very valuable that the healing approach given by Boadi Moore is holistic and open-minded, it can be adapted to multiple lifestyles, belief systems, and trauma stories; it has simple daily practices that anyone can reach out to and also more in-depth and guided ways to find peace and healing such as trauma therapy or rituals like those practiced by indigenous people around the world.

I would recommend this book to anyone, whether they are interested in learning about these psychological topics or want to understand themselves and their relationships better and embark on their healing journey. I also will be purchasing other books by Boadi Moore.
