Thanks for the review! NYC, Broadway, funny anecdotes - these are my favourite things! I'll have to pick this one up for sure!

Thanks for the review. I have never been to NYC, but I still think that I would love to read this book just to see what his life was like. I would have liked to see his writing style better since it was what knocked his rating down to 3 stars.

Thanks for the interesting review! This book sounds like it is a promising book but the writing style sounds like it would put me off. Job well done on the review!

Being a Jersey girl, I get the privilege of visiting New York City quite often. It's a great city that attracts a diversity of people from all over the world. I enjoy myself with every visit because there is so much to do. I can only imagine the many experiences the author had over a 30 year time span in New York City. I'm interested in finding out all of the things the author has experienced. I would love to compare and see if we had similar encounters. I could always go for a little humor as well.

This sounds like an interesting read for someone who loves New York and Broadway. I will definitely be recommending this to a few friends in the theatre department at my college. I read the sample and agree with you that his style is a little hard to deal with. Plus I have always been told that its better to laugh at yourself then to cry over yourself.

I don't think this really sounds like a book for me, since I've never had much curiosity about life in NYC, don't care for celebrity anecdotes, and am not partial to told-not-shown stories. However, since I am only one of many, I'm sure any others will love a book about a glamorous, Broadway-filled life!

I like how the author has taken the autobiography a step further and added pictures, letters and other such memorabilia, this makes the book a lot more interesting and gives it a personal touch. Good job on the review!

This one doesn’t sound like it’s for me. I’m not a huge fan of autobiographies, but I do love New York so maybe there’d be something interesting for me.

I ve just read the sample and found the writing style different to what I'm used to, however, as you say, he tells his story in a light hearted and amusing way.
