Healing Your Attachment Wounds by Boadi Moore is a book that dives deep into the emotional reality of attachment and explores every aspect related to it. From childhood trauma to adult interaction, it explains how every relationship we have at a young age can affect any relationship we will have at an older age, whether in a positive or negative manner. Through a planned road trip to make amends and interact with her kids, she dissects the meanings of different types of attachment, starting with the parental effect on children in regards to the type of attachment they have with their kids, all the way to healing and facing what scares you most in regards to attachment, which is separation, all in relation to her own experience and journey.

Being a mother myself, what affected me the most was how fragile and crucial the mother-son/daughter bond is. It made me realize that I am the number one reason for my kid to have either a healthy or very disturbing future and personality. Considering that kids are extremely attached to and dependent on their parents while growing up. Parents basically mold how kids will grow up to be in their relationship style. She also emphasizes the healing journey and giving yourself the proper time to understand, treat, and heal.

There wasn't much that I didn't like about the book; it was very personal and filled with a significant amount of valuable information on how to identify your attachment style, how to recognize the reasons that led to having this kind of style, and how to deal with and work on yourself to have more healthy and stable relationships and reach internal acceptance and serenity along the way.

I definitely would rate this book a 5 out of 5. Regardless of the reason for being exceptionally edited, it was thoroughly and peculiarly done. I could feel that the author has put a considerable amount of effort, focus, and emotion into it which is what made it so real and relatable to readers.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about people's personal journeys through struggle and self-discovery and how they learned and reached their desired destination. Since each and every one of us has different desires and paths, one can learn from people's experiences and reactions to certain situations. It would help clear the way for us and not make as many mistakes or take wrong turns as we would have if we were oblivious.

Recite in the name of your Lord who created [*] Created man from a clinging substance [*] Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous [*] Who taught by the pen [*] Taught man that which he knew not.
