Review of Tales of a Street Bull
I have always asked myself, What’s the most interesting profession? Everyone enjoys their profession, especially if the profession is the person’s dream. To me, being a cop has to be one of the most fun-filled professions. The truth is, I have an uncle who is a cop, and when he comes back home, he always has an interesting story about the day operation to tell. When you read Tales of a Street Bull by Enzo, you will really get a better picture of what a cop encounters. It was really an engaging read.
The author of this book grew up in a military family, where his dad had a career in the Air Force and his brother, Dennis, was a police officer. The author wasn't yet certain of what he wanted to venture into. He finally became a firefighter, and he shared a few experiences and lessons he learned from firefighting. He realised who he truly wanted to be during his days as a firefighter. His desire to become a cop was not realised until he visited his brother in California. He got home one night, took a newspaper, and came across a hiring notice from the Tacoma Police Department. Of which he applied and later joined the academy. This is where the interesting story of the author began as he narrated his experiences as a police officer, US marshal, district court manager, and homeland security. Trust me, it's mind-blowing, and it’s a book you would definitely want to read.
Tales of a Street Bull is a very enticing title to give to this book. I wonder how the author came up with such a title for this book. This happens to be one of the most hilarious books I have read in a while, and the truth is, at that point, it wasn’t supposed to be funny, but then the author narrating how it happened got me laughing out loud. I really want to thank the author for brightening my day with this book. The tone of this book is so calm and has an outstanding description that would make one feel like he was part of it. Even in some cases where we didn’t understand what he meant, he gave a clue on where we could find it, which was really amazing. In this read, there was no room for boredom, as the author stuck to things that mattered using a very simple writing style. I would give kudos to the editing team for their proper work, as the book contains no errors.
To be candid, I couldn’t find anything to dislike in this book. I would only appreciate it if the book were written in chapters; it is nothing to dislike and does not affect anything in this book. Hence, I would rate this book five out of five stars due to its outstanding features. I would also recommend this book to lovers of non-fiction and to those who are interested in a fun read.
