Remodelers are those leaders who improve the already-existing quality of products. Decorators are leaders who prioritize making the company look good, especially during financial reports. Realtors are those who build the business from the ground up, or from one level to the next. They are also referred to as Builders and are used as proper nouns in this book. These three leadership styles are used in various businesses, but only one can withstand the test of time. “Business Builders: How to Become an Admired and Trusted Corporate Leader” shows how Builders have advantages in making companies have sustainable and profitable growth over a long period of time.

Dan Adams began this book with a clear distinction between Builders and Climbers, the latter of whom only seek personal growth by ascending the corporate ladder. It also identifies the audience for the book: business leaders. I liked how the book had a clear structure that it followed. For proper understanding, the topics discussed were gradually explained using numerous analogies and examples. I loved how it explained why innovation is necessary for profitable, sustainable growth. It further explained why by using examples from well-known corporations. I learned about different companies through spot-on examples that only enhanced my understanding. This author has a talent for crafting precise expressions.

It also helps to know that this book was thoroughly researched. All of Adams’ conclusions were based on research conducted on more than 600 companies across three continents. The research findings were presented alongside the text of the book, lending it credibility. This even enabled him to clearly define where Builders were lacking and needed to be supplemented by other leadership styles. I appreciated his objectivity because he avoided being biased while providing reasons to back up his points. Finally, this book included some embedded links that allowed readers to quickly access some of the work's foundation.

"Business Builders" was a straightforward book that clearly demonstrated the importance of growing with your company. It shows how Builders provide growth and job security, among other things. In my opinion, this book deserves a perfect 5 out of 5 stars because of its proper structure and absolutely flawless editing. I didn't find a single error, nor did I find anything to dislike. I believe that those who are planning to start a business or those who are in decision-making positions in their companies would greatly benefit from this book.
