Review of Krazy Tales From the World of Golf
Have you ever been to a group of friends who will welcome you with a smile and more fun later, or the other way around? Every one of us has a story of the "first time," which you will never forget for the rest of your life. Krazy Tales From the World of Golf by Gail K. Holden is a true event that will make your day full of laughter. In these 90 different golf stories from the same group of friends (with some newcomers), readers will laugh at what happens before, after, or during golf time. If you love golf, don't let this book go out of sight, because I tell you that the moment you read it, you will read it many times. I recommend this book to a person who enjoys reading humorous stories, specifically about golf.
I don't play golf, nor do I ever see how people play it, but I like to read this story all over again just to imagine the tales of golfers from Spokane. Spokane is known to be the home of hockey players. To make their lives more exciting, a group of hockey players engage in golf. They decided to go on a trip. The first trip looks like an initiation for the players for the rest of their golf years. Readers will never forget how Lefty, the driver, made the first "Montana Golf Trip" memorable ever.
Here's a glimpse of "before," "during," and "after" the game. "Before the game," mostly during the bus ride, the group will enjoy playing the Stook game. When they arrive at the inn, Nelie's experience with the bus is quite unforgettable to me, and it makes me laugh every time I remember it. Some of them will devise a plan to make their colleagues have the best Montana golf trip ever, like Tim with the cow, Lunker with the crow, Knob with the laxative, Nacs enjoyment with the loose strapped bag, and Nellie, who is the innocent from Frankie, Dash, and Knob, to name a few events. During the event, readers will learn why Monty is the man down. The appearance of the chicken bones, the snake surprise, and the scattered balls make me laugh alone. After the event, I can't forget how Nellie turns the bus to the border when something is missing. What was his role in the group? What is missing?
I noticed some errors. The only thing I least liked a bit was the profane words, but it didn't distract me from reading it. On the positive side, I selected the best three events that I like and enjoy the most. First, the result of Judge Johnny's billboard popularization with the help of his friends brings the group closer together. Second is the cash call, which is quite fascinating. Third is the friendship or camaraderie of the men throughout the years of their golf trips. I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the fascinating story of friendships for more than three decades.
