Healing Your Attachment Wounds is a self-help book that helps you understand how attachments you created in early childhood can follow into adulthood. The author describes the many attachment issues you can suffer with, but we do not fully understand how they affect us and how to overcome them. The author provides us with information on how we can try to overcome those emotions we feel during the healing process.

Boadie Moore addresses topics such as healing, trauma and relationships and deepens our understanding of how they affect us as adults. The author uses her own experience to help discuss the healing process. She proceeds to talk about how her childhood influenced her adult choices and connections with those closest to her. Also, the book empowers readers such as myself to look into their past life to understand the feelings they felt and how they affect us to this present day. The author offers her own personal experiences and blends them with research that seems comprehensive. The book has adopted a holistic approach when discussing the primary topic of attachment issues. She gives us a variety of steps that we can use to begin our own healing and improvement of ourselves. Towards the middle of the book, one chapter discusses the ‘letting go’ aspect of healing. This chapter captured my attention and had me divert my current thoughts. The information that she provides has the potential to divert one’s mind to look at their past and understand how their feelings impacted their relationships. The author highlights that having a mental space and quiet time can help the healing process.

This book has been well-structured, and I found that I could navigate through the book smoothly. Also, I like how the author has included her own stories and personal experiences in the book, which not only allows her to connect with the reader, but it also helps the reader to believe that the steps that are enclosed in the book work and achieve the highest positive outcome. Boadie Moore has created this book that is designed to help individuals understand their past and how it affects their relationships. The book discusses the process in depth and how it can take time to fully come to terms with your past and your healing. I like how the author has included anecdotes that relate to many readers. I believe this book to be fully enjoyed by many.

The book captivated me from the beginning. I was able to understand the whole concept of healing and I can use some of the steps in my own healing process! I cannot find a single fault with this because I connected with the author instantly! Also, in terms of errors, I cannot find a single error or grammatical error. Therefore, I conclude the book is professionally edited. The author has clearly gone out of her way to create a book that allows readers to reach into their past and present and analyse their feelings and trauma and understand how they have healed from them.

In conclusion, the overall rating that this book deserves is an 5 out of 5 stars.I have given this book a high tier rating because it was an excellent read, and I was able to take information from it and use it to analyse my own healing. I have no doubt that other individuals who read this book will be able to do the same. The thought that has gone into this book is remarkable. Also, I believe that the intended audience for this book in question is young adults and those individuals who have a keen interest in understanding their past traumas, and how to heal from them.
