Chasing Seyboro by David B. Galloway is an inspiring non-fiction book about the author's recovery from a devastating head-on car collision while bicycling in 2006. This memoir details Mr. Galloway's tenacity and sheer will to live, his amazing family and friends, his long road to recovery, and his determination to walk and be a cyclist. Multiple surgeries, a coma, extensive rehabilitation, memory loss, and chronic pain are all detailed in this miraculous story. Mr. Galloway is a figure to be admired for all he has overcome and for the inspiration he provides to those who know him and his story.

David "Diesel" Galloway is a founding member of the Seyboro Bicycling Club and has ridden over one hundred thousand miles. He is retired from the United States Air Force and a motorcycle enthusiast. Mr. Galloway writes in a clear, humorous tone and forthright manner. His memoir showcases his passion for bicycling, his love of family and friends, and his belief in God. Chasing Seyboro is his third book.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves true stories of triumphing over all odds and medical miracles. Bicyclist enthusiasts would enjoy this unique story, too. There are some graphic photographs of Mr. Galloway's injuries that may be too much for some readers. If you are sensitive to injury or surgery images, you may want to skip them or view them cautiously. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this compelling memoir and laughed out loud when the author was alligator hunting with his grandchildren.

I rate this book as a 5 out of 5. Chasing Seyboro seems professionally edited; there are very few errors. The only questionable editorial items are the photograph titles. Several of the photograph titles had no spacing between the words. This was slightly confusing and is an item for improvement.
