How to Be Happy: The Wisdom to Consistently Attain and Retain Happiness and Positive Energy is a book in the nonfiction genre by C.S. Evelyn. It comprised seven thought-provoking chapters.

The concept of "ego" was extensively discussed. Some of them are how it affects our reactions to things that happen around us and the necessity to shut it up so that it does not alter our happiness. Letting go of worries and issues that mentally weigh us down is a must-do action. Allowing worry to cloud our judgment would lead to unwholesome outcomes. Readers are acquainted with the need to be pliable to withstand the storms of life. Change is a constant, and to succeed in life, we need to know when to adopt a favorable stance. The concepts discussed are insightful, and if you'd like to know all that was pondered, I'll advise you to pick up a copy of this book.

The different topics discussed here are highly informative and educational, as there are quotes from notable men embedded at the start of every chapter. Readers would be left to dwell on the quotes, and this leads them to search their minds. After reading this masterpiece, no one would still have a backward mentality regarding happiness.

At some point in the book, the author made mention of meditation, but because he wasn't necessarily discussing the subject matter, he went ahead and gave readers a recommendation in the case where they would want to have a broad knowledge of the concept. I appreciated this simple act. It showed the author's thoughtfulness.

I was pleased with the author's use of stories to make his ideas clearer. This made readers easily comprehend the narrative. While reading each chapter, I discovered they all had something unique to discuss. Although they were all different, they still had something in common, which was the central focus of this book. This showed the author's creative writing ability.

I have no reason not to award this book a score of 5 out of 5 stars. The narrative was not lengthy. It went straight to the point, and as such, left no room for boredom to creep in. I encountered not even a single error, which shows it was excellently edited.

How to Be Happy: The Wisdom to Consistently Attain and Retain Happiness and Positive Energy teaches readers the way to get to a level of utmost happiness and satisfaction, and to this effect, if you'd love to know how to achieve your desired level of happiness, I recommend this book to you.
