Review of Blue Collar Cash
Before reading Blue Collar Cash by Ken Rusk, I was not a fan of self-help or inspirational books. I assumed them to be boring and fact-driven. I must say that Rusk has proved my assumptions to be wrong. This author does an amazing job expressing their objectives and giving the reader an interactive experience. I was pleasantly surprised by how relatable the content is.
In this book, Rusk explains the importance of blue-collar jobs and how you can achieve success without a college degree. It goes over different steps to take in order to accomplish your goals. For example, step one is as simple as just envisioning your future. Step two would be to make a plan and then execute that plan. The author breaks down finances using charts which allows the reader to understand how to be responsible for their money. Rusk expands on the principles of character traits like being a hard worker, being determined, and having a positive attitude. This author also gives helpful tips on how to shift a negative mindset into a positive one. Rusks' main concept is to inspire people to live a life of comfort, peace, and financial freedom without a fancy education.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Blue Collar Cash. I believe the author did a great job including their own experiences, along with stories about other successful people from all walks of life. It was interesting to learn about how some big companies today were founded, like The Quaker Oats Company. I found the list of various blue-collar jobs to be very shocking but also inspiring. The author uses analogies to help express their views, my favorite being how they compared the human psyche to a five-gallon bucket. I have caught myself thinking, " empty the bucket." If you want to understand that reference, I highly suggest you read this book.
I enthusiastically rate this book a 5 out of 5. I have nothing negative to say. I loved all aspects of this book. It was engaging, very informative, positive, and motivational. I could sense the authors' passion for their methods throughout this beautifully written and organized book. I came across zero errors making this book exceptionally edited.
This is a non-fiction book that explains what a blue-collar job is and how to achieve financial gain with a blue-collar career. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for financial advice or thinking about owning a business. There is no profanity or sexual content. The author does mention their beliefs in God but does not use it as a focal point. I would direct this read toward older teens and above.
