The book begins with a flashback of the death of George Floyd. Officer Dereck Chauvin killed the victim in broad daylight. This devastating incident attracted protests all over America. However, white supremacy did not begin yesterday.

Michael informs us of some fascinating points. A child's thinking is innocent until their parent influences them. The author gave a scenario from when he was in London. A young girl kept smiling at him. Her mother had not noticed the daughter was smiling at a black man. When she did, she scolded her daughter. The young girl then learned it was inappropriate to smile or talk to a black man. But that lame mentality was only influenced by her mother.

Michael gives firsthand experiences of the discrimination he has encountered as a black man. He then discusses religion and how we should be free to adopt the one we desire. Islamophobia has been promoted in the United States. For instance, when Muslim passengers enter a train, they create attention as though they're terrorists. How can we be leaders in our lives? Is there a way we can positively influence the world?

There's immense honesty in the work, and I enjoyed that. Michael gives lists of examples of his experiences with his family and other diverse people. I loved the liberal-mindedness of the author. While he has been discriminated against before, he does not carry the mantle of hatred or pain with him. Instead, he chooses to set a classic example of a dignified person of color.

I liked the excerpts the author included. They are highlights that complement the points under discussion. Michael reminds us that challenges are part of life, and we should embrace them. Also, we should not allow social media to guide our lifestyle. It should not influence our decisions because numerous people fake a lavish lifestyle on social media.

I noted very few grammatical errors. Therefore, The World In My Eyes by Kayode Michael Arimoro is well edited. I found this book a masterpiece and a turning point of negative thoughts. We can all be a positive influence in other people's lives. One way to do so is by saying no to racial and religious prejudices. I rate the volume a classic 4 out of 4 because I detected nothing to despise. I recommend it to any reader who'd love to view the world from a different yet optimistic perspective.

The author did not become hateful despite being a victim of discrimination. We need to see the World in an optimistic way and not encourage racial and religious discriminations. Great review.

"The World In My Eyes" by Kayode Michael Arimoro presents a positive perspective of how Michael handled his firsthand experiences of discrimination, how we should be free to adopt the religion of our own preference, and how we can be leaders in our lives to positively influence the world.

Yes, we would all love an optimistic point of view. I would love one unless that point of view can kill me. Passports of certain countries are weak for a reason, some people are searched more for a reason. Yes, there are incidents when people in power do something bad and rash in that checking but I would not want that system to change. My safety depends on it. Everyone's safety depends on it. Stereotypes exist for a reason and I hate to break this to everyone but it is true. They are exaggerated, slippery slopey but they exist for a reason. However, I do wish they did not. I do wish we never had to check that Muslim woman under her burqa to see if she was hiding firearms or stealing something, I really do and I can understand where that is coming from.

"The World In My Eyes," is a powerful piece that explores the depth of human emotions and the beauty of nature. However, the poem also acknowledges the darker aspects of the world, such as the "sorrow and pain" that exist alongside the beauty. Through this acknowledgement, the author reminds us that it is through our struggles that we can truly appreciate the light.

Absolutely true white supremely did not start yesterday. Despite the going through racial discrimination the author did not turn hateful. Religion is still a controversial topic everywhere. It is also absolutely true that people blindly follow social media posts. Sometimes we need to learn the hard way. Congrats on BOTD.

While going through the review, the first thing that comes to mind is, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” Congrats on #BOTD!

We seek to know ourselves and others, to belong and to be free, We accept what we can and change what we must.

It’s very hard to suffer discrimination, yet not develop hatred towards the people who discriminate or even to the world for allowing this to exist. Very interesting book, I’m sure I will enjoy reading.

I agree with the social media part. There are many people who are fake there for us to let them dictate our lives. The author turning the negatives is so inspiring indeed.

The World in My Eyes is a poignant reminder of what our world is coming to. It shares the author's viewpoints as a member of a minority community suffering at the hands of racism and inhuman treatment. The examples of discrimination shared in the review were heartbreaking. I believe this book will be an incredible eye-opener for many. Congratulations on the BOTD!
