Review of Conversing with Various Entities
Conversing with Various Entities: How To Use Dowsing Tools to Converse with Angels, Nature and More! by Mary Ellen Wall starts with a brief introduction on who the author is and how the experience of building a log cabin in the woods became her introduction into the arts of dowsing and other, let’s just say, communication techniques. The author goes through every technique, their pros and cons, how she became familiar with them, why they work. There’s a brief guide on how to apply them and, of course, an invitation to try them on your own as a reader. All the instructions are very clear and you don’t need to buy anything you can’t build yourself at home. However Mary Ellen Wall owns a shop where you can acquire one of a kind pendulums made by her. Grab the book for some interesting stories about her clients; they might make you curious enough to pay a visit.
Every explanation is easy to understand and is very detailed. The author wants to honestly share what she knows and it is hard not to try the techniques for yourself after reading Conversing with Various Entities. I did it myself and had some interesting dowsing answers.
My favorite thing about the book was the point of view. It is written in first person and it allows you to understand how the entire narrative is driven by curiosity. I could imagine her voice when she asked some humorous questions. The book was fun.
The book is only based on experience, there are no references to big experiments or to scientific research about conscience or entities that make sense for some skeptical readers, or for someone who wants a deeper understanding. I did find some errors and I found the images could be more professional, even if it matches the homemade feeling that the whole story evoques.
Based on the errors I found and the choice of images, I give Conversing with Various Entities 3 out of 4 stars .
I recommend this book to anyone who is curious about entities like: angels, guides, even aliens. If you are skeptical you could give it a try because Mary Ellen Wall is not trying to convince you to believe in mysterious forces, she’s just using simple logic and some little experiments to explain how these techniques work. If you are religious however, you might be uncomfortable with some topics like tarot cards and ouija boards. It is important to mention that the author is religious herself and what she does is far from occultism, she even has Jesus as her Gold Standard.
