Speedy Hurled through Havoc by Dave Letterfly Knoderer is a nonfiction retrospective story about the author’s life, family, and passion. The author reflectively contemplates some of the events, experiences, and relationships in his life. The strongest influences are the author’s relationships and his passion for the circus. Three stories take center stage: the author’s story, his father’s story, and Billy’s story. The thirst and passion for the thrill and life of the circus world is a major part of the story. Dave Letterfly Knoderer takes his readers on a whimsical, inspiring, and educative ride through the trappings and thrill of life in the circus and on the road. Since childhood, Dave Letterfly Knoderer is inspired by his father’s love for adventure and dedicates himself to creating a life around the artistry of the circus. The undeterred determination and drive are inspiring.

The best part about Speedy Hurled through Havoc by Dave Letterfly Knoderer is his colorful and whimsical portrayal of the circus world. It’s like he pulls back the curtain and gives his readers a peek behind the scenes. The artistry, work, passion, and heart behind the life of a circus performer are awesome and inspiring. The lessons, personal thoughts, and life experiences in the book not only give an insight into the author’s life but also holds a mirror to the all too common dynamics of parenting, personal growth, and family. You might gain more insight about yourself and those around you.

The author uses a combination of first-person narration and flashbacks to tell his story. The book is about the author’s life; therefore first-person narration is the perfect way to tell his story in a personal yet engaging way. I felt like the narration gave me first-hand insight into the author’s thoughts and emotions. The content is also well thought out. The events, experiences, and relationships featured in the book are relevant to the author’s storytelling. As a result, the plot and momentum of the story are consistent and have no loopholes.

Speedy Hurled through Havoc by Dave Letterfly Knoderer is an educative book that chronicles the author’s life and passion. Many inspiring life lessons hold up a mirror to some of the realities of life and family. There is a lot to love about the book. I think the editing is professional, and there is nothing to dislike about the book. I rate Speedy Hurled through Havoc by Dave Letterfly Knoderer four out of four stars.

I recommend the book to people who enjoy nonfiction novels. The book does not have any sexual, violent, or adult content. Therefore, the book has a wide audience range. Young adults and adults who like inspiring, family-oriented memoirs would enjoy Speedy Hurled through Havoc by Dave Letterfly Knoderer.
