As an educator, IQ was previously one of the largest determiners of a student's future success. Over the last decade, schools have been working to help increase students' EQ as it is now seen as just as important. I have seen many students with very high IQs who struggle with relationships and challenges because their EQ is weak. I am wondering if this would be a good choice for an educator working to help their students and their EQ.

You need both to be successful in the work place, especially when you're in the management field. I believe that many in the higher positions lack substantial EQ, and so many good employees are lost, and so much is lost in the process.

I agree that our EQ is just as important as IQ, if not more. This book seems really great for self development. I am looking forward to read it! Thank you for the well-written review.

This is such an educative review. Emotional intelligence at work is very essential. Work environment consists of various individuals with different personalities and temperaments. Knowing how to manage people's character, attitude and emotional - outbursts makes work easier and reduces issues.

Emotional intelligence has been identified by several authors as a major ingredient for organizational growth and development above any form of incentives. Hence, I expect the author to empirically justify his views and thoughts more than just theoretical justification. Nice review.
