Tidwell is a book with various very small stories. The topics covered in the stories include childhood, family, pets, and nature. The author's style is informal and original, as she weaves her personal experiences in the book.

The author begins by writing about going to a man named Mr. Candy, where she would go to get sweets and have a fun time. She also remembers traversing roads in Washington with her bike and walking in her big shoes. She continues by describing some of her pets, such as the family dog, called Bob, and her rabbit. Moreover, the writer explores the technology of payphones, which was how people communicated when she was growing up. The author also recalls watching football games with her father, as well as eating some of her mother's snacks. She also shares her ideas on what she would do after winning the lottery, while she also describes the love she has for her motorcycle, which makes her feel free.

This book had some positive aspects. Firstly, the author's ideas were authentic and original, as she used her imagination and her own experiences to make her stories creative and unique. Furthermore, this book was well edited, as I only noticed three objective grammatical errors in it. What I liked most about this book was that the writer inserted pictures and drawings into it, which allowed the reader to make better sense of the stories, while the pictures also added beauty and color to the book.

Nonetheless, I also met some negative features in the text. To begin with, the book was not coherently structured, as the author's ideas lacked a rational flow. In other words, meaning that there was no cohesive link between the stories. What I disliked most about the text was that it was boring and dull in many parts since the author failed to add sufficient emotions and excitement to the stories.

This book will be mostly enjoyed by readers who like relaxing, short stories. People over the age of fifty are more likely to enjoy the book, as the author talks about some things from the 1970s and 1980s, such as payphones. Readers of all religions, including atheists, may like this book.

In conclusion, I give this book a score of 2 out of 4 stars. I removed two stars from the final rating because this book was incohesive and boring in some cases. I did not give it the lowest possible score since it was beautiful and creative. ****** Short Stories in My Minnd View: on Bookshelves
